It reminded me of how my girl loved the mud when she was little. Her older cousin was very available to make mud cakes and have a squishy, muddy time.
Mud
Mud is very nice to feel
Mud is very nice to feel
All squishy-squashy between the toes.
I'd rather wade in wiggly mud,
Than smell a yellow rose.
Nobody else but the rosebud knows
Nobody else but the rosebud knows
How nice mud feels between the toes.
Hi Ann,
ReplyDeleteJody's blog has inspired me as well. It has such a lovely variety of posts and I can learn so much when I visit there! This afternoon I had a british tea party (wish You could have come) and made lemon curd for the first time, inspired by Jody!
It was actually easy and looked so pretty/tasted so fresh and tart.
I posted it on a blog that I started recently to celebrate the Spring season. You can have a peek here:

Keep up the blogging~ you are doing a great job!
Love,

Great post, Ann. I loved the poem you left over at my place. So true. My kids have always played in the mud....it's good for the soul.
